COURSE OVERVIEW :
The Diploma of Health Counselling introduces basic counselling and communication skills and provides a foundation for further study. Course fees are correspondingly low.
 
COURSE STRUCTURE :

Module 1
Medical Terminology Course
One, two-hour evening lecture for 11 weeks

Module fee $299
(The Medical terminology module is a pre-requisite for entry to the Diploma of Health Counselling course.)

Module 2
Diploma of Health Counselling Course
One, two-hour evening lecture for 14 weeks

Module fee $549

    This course is specifically developed for those already working or wishing to work within the health industry who require an overview of Health Counselling, Social workers, nurses, and clinicians would also find the course of extreme benefit. Counsellors work wherever there are people. About half of all the counsellors in Australia work in health care and social welfare settings. Some counsellors work in private practice.

    Applicants must have completed our Medical Terminology course (Module1) OR have a working knowledge of Medical Terms.

    Medical Terminology
    On completion of the Medical Terminology Module you will receive a certificate in Medical Terminology.

    Health Counselling
    Your diploma is granted upon successfully passing the final assessment. The Diploma allows you to use the abbreviation Dip Helth Couns (Medical Register of Australia)
