The Certificate in Forensic Medicine is an introductory course covering the basic elements of forensic medicine.

The course would be of extreme benefit to professional groups such as police, legal practitioners, law court and insurance personnel requiring knowledge of forensic medicine issues. The course is stimulating to all those with an interest in this fascinating subject.

Candidates will find it useful to have a basic familiarity with medical terms, therefore it is essential to have completed Module 1: Medical Terminology prior to commencing Module 2: Forensic Medicine and Module 3: Forensic Psychology.

course aims

To provide a basic knowledge of the main medical, scientific and legal concepts and methodology to provide an understanding of human disease, conditions and behaviour in a forensic setting

To provide an understanding of the basic organisational structures in the practice of forensic medicine and science

To provide an understanding of the multi-disciplinary nature of forensic medicine

There are three main modules included in the course: Medical Terminology, Forensic Medicine and Forensic Psychology
